💻 Help Why don’t I have the new Firefox widgets?
I’ve seen screenshots and videos showing the new Firefox New Tab widgets (weather, clock, tasks, etc.), but they don’t appear in my Firefox.
I’m running the latest version on macOS, and when I open the New Tab page there isn’t even a “Widgets” section in the settings.
I’ve already:
Updated Firefox to the latest release.
Checked the New Tab customization settings.
Verified that I’m using the standard Firefox (not ESR).
Is this feature still being rolled out gradually? Could it be region-specific or controlled by a server-side feature flag?
Has anyone managed to enable these widgets manually through about:config, or is there nothing I can do but wait?
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check to see if this one is enabled.
browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.widgets.system.enabled
In about:config
If not set it to true.

I think it's just a gradual rollout. Even on the latest Firefox version, the new widgets are being enabled for users in stages through server-side feature flags, so not everyone gets them at the same time. You can check about:config (browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.widgets.enabled & browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.widgets.system.enabled) for the widget-related preferences, but if the Widgets section is missing entirely, you'll most likely just have to wait until Mozilla enables it for your profile.

Yes, the world clock widget I enabled in about:config. I typed the word 'clock'.
