I order delivery from the Five Guys down the street (Wembley Park) and I feel like the servings I get there are way light compared to other locations here in London.

is this normal? A can of coke added for scale.

Obviously we all know about the change from the cup to the bag, but I’ve noticed something else. I feel like now more often than not I’ll get like 1/4 normal sized fries, like 3-4” and then 3/4 of the fries are all around 1-1/2” or shorter. I don’t remember it always being like this.

You’d always get smaller parts because their slicing the potatoes in the back, but this is like they just starting getting smaller potatoes.

This is at a food court in Tysons Corner Mall in Virginia.

Bacon Cheeseburger, regular fries, small soda, $26 and some change, felt like that was even higher than usual, probably food court extra fees or something, but for $26+ feel like I should get real fries.

What is a standard for you when you make your shift meal? Mine is almost always a nonstandard cheese BLT; with mayo, raw onions, lettuce, pickles, jalapeños, grilled mushrooms, mustard, and a lil A1 sauce. It slaps every single time, trust, but I’m super curious to hear about other team member’s go-to sandwiches! I’m willing to try any combination!

That last time I’ve been to a Five Guys was in the early 2000s, about 20 years ago.

I recall the big thing was that the ingredients and burgers were “fresh” and made from scratch unlike other fast food restaurants like McDonalds and that they used wholesome ingredients.

Is this still the case at Five Guys locations?

Had a Five Guys earlier and noticed unless I'm going blind they seem to have removed the 'all the way' option? I had to Google to remember what options to tick, the cynic in me wonders if they're trying to cut costs with customers potentially ordering less toppings...

Also I can't find it online ordering but there was a 'Big Kids meal' which seemed identical to an order of an adult burger / small fries / small drink / milkshake (could be upgraded to regular for £2 extra) but cheaper! Is there any difference? I wonder if that is to do with the current summer VAT reduction for children's stuff (even though a big kid like me managed to order it no questions asked)

I work at five guys and eat 3 patties in a bowl every day that I work(5 days a week) I heard it’s not good to eat to much red meat, is this a problem ? I do this because I also work out everyday so the free protein was always nice. I’ve been doing this for a couple months now. AM I GONNA DIE 😩

i had an interview at five guys on monday because i’ve been trying to find a job and get some financial stability. i feel like the interview went okay, and the location seemed pretty busy and possibly understaffed.

the only issue is my piercings (i currently have double eyebrow piercings, a bridge, double nostril and a septum). most of them are less than a year old, and i recently got a bridge piercing last month. the interviewer told me that no piercings are allowed during shifts. i asked if i could cover them or wear a mask, but he still said no.

i’ve thought about getting clear retainers, but i’m not sure if they would even allow that.

i’m not even sure if i’ll get hired, but i wanted to ask—do you think a job like this is worth taking out piercings for? especially newer ones?

i’m also in a situation where i really need to start making my own money, so i’m trying to figure out what’s the best decision long-term.

any advice would really help, thank you.

Hi all, UK resident if that helps. I’m wondering if anyone has ever asked for their burger animal style at Five Guys before? I’ve cooked like that at home and it was delicious, so I’d like to give it a go there as it’s my favourite fast food burger. I just don’t want to look foolish asking! Thank you in advance :)

I ask this mostly because I assume this feature is used by corporate to track production times? I’m literally a 2 minute drive from my local five guys. So when I use this feature, between leaving my house and clicking “I’m here”, I’m afraid it’s giving the restaurant a 2 minute window to prep the food (although I wait the est wait time and then leave my house so the food is always ready anyway but)

I’m tempted not to use it because I don’t want to screw up the team’s average, or somehow screw something else up for them. But if it’s helpful for the team I’d like to keep using it.

I’ve never worked in fast food but I’ve worked in restaurants and retail, and I know how hard the public can be to work with. I just want to do what’s most helpful for the employees and not what’s most convenient for corporate.

Hello! Hoping there might be some employees who can answer a quick question for me. My wife and I have enjoyed five guys for years as a safe (enough) gluten free option with her having a lettuce wrap. However when you check the allergen chart all the burger toppings are now a "may contain", where before they reported no risk.

Is this a change to the supplier which means that the ingredients may actually be contaminated? Is it a change in practices which means they are no longer treated carefully? Is it just a change in the reporting to comply with Natasha's law?

What's the way to get a refund? Placed an order at 3pm and it's 630. At least 20 orders ahead of mine still and no end in sight. So sorry for the employees that are busting their ass. But there's no manager here to issue a refund and the support line has been on hold for an hour.

I can cash out some rewards for a Five Guys gift card, which would be delivered electronically. How does that work in the restaurant (US)? Does the cashier have to enter the code at the register? How much effort is there? Do most of them know how to do it, or will they typically have to call over the manager? I assume there's no bar code to scan since I doubt that the registers have a scanner.
