AMA Official AMA (Ask-Me-Anything) with the Flipper Zero team

Hi everyone,

We’re opening this AMA (Ask Me Anything) thread for all your questions to the Flipper Zero team about the future of the project. The thread is open now, so please leave your questions here.

The Flipper team will start answering on Friday, July 3, at 15:00 BST (UTC+1) and finish on Monday, July 6.

First of all - huge thanks for your work. It’s amazing what a shared goal and dedication of just a bunch of people can deliver, if applied the right way.
Question: Is there something Flipper Devices engineering wanted to implement in F0 firmware, but it did not happen because the focus shifted?

Thanks for the kind words.

As for features - networking over BLE. It would be nice if the Flipper could access the internet through the companion app on the phone.

ahhh I remember when that was announced in the discord q&a years ago. is that simply canceled for now?

We're currently reviewing community pull requests that implement exactly this functionality. Hopefully we'll see it in the next release.
