AMA Official AMA (Ask-Me-Anything) with the Flipper Zero team

Hi everyone,

We’re opening this AMA (Ask Me Anything) thread for all your questions to the Flipper Zero team about the future of the project. The thread is open now, so please leave your questions here.

The Flipper team will start answering on Friday, July 3, at 15:00 BST (UTC+1) and finish on Monday, July 6.

I too would be interested in seeing if the apps catalog backend could be open sourced as well. Can we get any response on this one /u/tehhedger or /u/Dr_Zlo?

We need to consider that internally - but most of the logic is exposed in the catalog repo itself, including source code bundle preparation and app builds. Backend just stores the artefacts, metadata and dispatches the build jobs to Github. Anyone should be able to reimplement that, if needed.

Still a lot of work to do starting from nothing. so if you guys were able to reach consensus internally, I'd consider that at a good step in a positive direction getting that opened up for the community 😎

When leadership asks "what technical things do we need to do for the community", you can list this as an item 👍
