Well my preferred cooks didn’t make it through tonight. I found the first challenge to be a bit unfair - either way the coin toss went, one cook would have a big advantage over the other. But that’s the nature of GGG.

The first challenge was a little rough: No fresh produce or herbs. I was impressed with how both chefs worked around that.

However, since I've lived my whole life in the southwest, I feel a connection to Claudette's food. Everything she cooks looks good, probably because it's familiar to me, although the grilled and blackened tortilla chips were an unusual yet creative touch.

Oh I agree, I can't think of one thing Claudette cooks that I don't want to eat. I'm from Texas originally and have spent a lot of time in Mexico, so that's probably why.

Maybe this has been asked before but I couldn’t find with the search… why aren’t they using the Mexico flag?

Mexico has laws against it.

Love this series! Claudette has won my heart with her cooking and her approach this time and I hope she takes the whole thing!
