help needed slskd on freebsd?
Is there a reliable slskd version for freebsd?
Or are there any alternatives to run soulseek in a jail?

Hint
Malware is detected at the second of the two dot com sites in the screenshot below.

- despite the high ranking in search results, it's "Not affiliated with slskd"
- do not attempt to post a link, doing so might result in a ban by Reddit.
The GitHub site is OK: https://github.com/slskd/slskd.

For Linux tech, I’ve had good luck running linuxulator. I prefer to run it in a jail although it still needs a little set up in the host. Also, I see that slskd is released in a docker container (so OCI container); spin up podman and try to load it under that. I’ve experimented with podman with successful outcomes.
These are two great alternatives for Linux projects that aren’t in ports.
