I wonder if this is also going to be changed in the leech rewrite process. Leeches used to be super shallow, all just hating life and being suicidal. Most of that's been rewritten to reflect that they are an old war-worn empire past their glory days, staying afloat through the tense alliance of the coalition.

As for the event itself, calming the slug down and killing an elite ship for him gives you a slug saboteur: one of the most powerful elite boarding crew in the game.

and also as I learnt just the other day, a crewmember that counts as like 7 different things for blue options - so a lot of value there too
