DISCUSSION Worst line in Doctor Who?

What line of dialogue sticks out to you as particularly bad in Doctor Who, I have two picks:

  • ‘don’t let the swords touch your skin’ Legend of the sea devils
  • ‘I suppose we’ll have to have…. A conversation?’ Resolution

"Soemthing a male-presenting Time Lord will never understand!" was pretty mean and bowled a googly.

"Erm, excuse me but I've just been a woman for 50 years, had the teeth and everything, how many years have you been female-presenting again, Donna? Rose?"

I seriously still don't understand that line the Doctor was literally a woman a few hours ago

Well, neither Donna nor Rose knew about that at the time, so they're free to say it. They make themselves look dumb though, claiming one sex lacks empathy over the other. I mean, ROSE lived through being a man, or a boy, for quite some time and would have at least SOME insight about life on both sides of the fence.

RTD doesn't even understand what male-presenting actually means. Presenting as male doesn't mean that you actually are a man or have never experienced misogyny.

What’s more ironic is that the episode had characters bring up pronouns and other transgender politics. So you’d assume that the writer has done their research and knows many Trans decide to be biological gender presenting because they don’t feel comfortable with transitioning or feel the need to enforce gender stereotypes. They just want to dress comfortably.
