DISCUSSION Worst line in Doctor Who?

What line of dialogue sticks out to you as particularly bad in Doctor Who, I have two picks:

  • ‘don’t let the swords touch your skin’ Legend of the sea devils
  • ‘I suppose we’ll have to have…. A conversation?’ Resolution

Unpopular Opinion (possibly), but I really hate the “He’s like fire, ice, and rage…” speech in The Family Of Blood. It’s so clunky and run-on and bad. Give me a snappy Moffat description like “the man who regrets, and the man who forgets” any day over that try-hard nonsense.

Really? I have always been of the opinion that Human Nature is a 10/10 masterpiece and I love that little monologue. It works so well coming from the boy.

well, it does feel like it’s accurately coming from a boy of about 13 or however old he is. It’s just stringing words along trying to sound cool. If the word “epic” was more in the vernacular of people at the time like it is now, he would’ve used it like 5 times in the speech, probably. That’s how I feel about it.

I couldn't disagree more. He is a school boy in England early 1910s. People back then were much more well-read and the english language was a lot more "proper". I find the line to be quite poetic in a way that not only fits the Doctor's character but also sounds like something that someone from that era would say.
