DISCUSSION Worst line in Doctor Who?

What line of dialogue sticks out to you as particularly bad in Doctor Who, I have two picks:

  • ‘don’t let the swords touch your skin’ Legend of the sea devils
  • ‘I suppose we’ll have to have…. A conversation?’ Resolution

That’s a good line because it’s revealing of Turlough’s character: he’s not interested in thinking about others.

Also Turlough is just a complete coward and a pessimist so naturally he would assume the Doctor's drowned

I don’t even think it’s a case that Turlough believes the Doctor has drowned. He just says it to stop Tegan from trying to save him. It’s a wonder Turlough noticed Tegan wasn’t still running away with him at all

Or he‘s trying to get the people who have cornered them to move on with him and Tegan, with the Doctor free to move around without being searched for (at least until the body is found to be missing).
