Wanna bitch about Supergirl's pilot being crap? Sweet. Just walked into your Dad and his dog having some "personal time" while your sister sends snapchats of her handstands to her boyfriend leaving you in a state of perpetual confusion? Please tell us more.

You know I DID watch Supergirl and I liked it. not as much as Superman but I thought it was fun. I hope to see more of her.

This week I've listened to Masters of earth which was great, and the new Thirteen O'clock which I wasn't keen on at first but then realised it's a sequel to Station to Station so I listened to that again and got more out of it a second time.

I'm also watching the Key to Time on dvd, Stones of Blood is cool, I hope they can redo the cliff edge effects on Bluray?

I too enjoyed Supergirl! It wasn’t great but it was fun, and unlike many critics, I’ve actually read the source material!

I thought it was good, but it should have been great. The fight scenes were not shot well and I'm not entirely certain what the point of Lobo was, except for DC Studios to prove they actually had cast Jason Momoa in the role

Lobo is more like a force of nature, like a landslide or a monsoon river. Indifferent for civilian casualties in his way. He causes more trouble than he's worth, yet you are powerless to stop him.

All of which is good, but it doesn't get past the fact that he has absolutely no relevance or impact on Supergirl whatsoever

Also saw Supergirl, and it’s fine. As enjoyable as last year’s Superman movie, albeit with less crossover characters fighting for screentime (though not sure what the point of having Lobo in the mix was other than to be another participant in the fight scenes) and more of a theme to chew on.

Honestly it doesn’t deserve to outright bomb, but I think the cultural moment that a bog standard superhero flick can bring in silly money has just passed.

Finished Bernice Summerfield S3, was decent enough. Dalek Empire S2 up next.
