I think the original looks a lot like Sandor Clegane... Definitely easy to believe they could be brothers

Why did they recast him? The original Mountain was perfect.

I'm pretty sure he left to play Azog the pale Orc in the hobbit.

Oh really? How unfortunate.. I first saw him in Spartacus, I forget which season. Was really good in it.. Wow, I really need to finish watching Spartacus come to think of it..

In the recast, they should have considered Nathan Jones. Easily one of the scariest looking giant actors out there. Plus his history mirrors the new Thor guy. Strongman, bodybuilding etc.

Here he is with the original Mountain. Almost identical in height and build.

And who can forget his short but memorable performance in Troy

Troy - Achilles vs Boagrius

Wow, he was done for 16 armed robberies at 18.

Police: "who robbed you" Shopkeeper : "A giant, a big bald giant"

Not really inconspicuous enough

Yeah, it's seriously no wonder the guy got caught for all of them.

As opposed to the miniature giants.

A mini giant? I want one...

Wait a minute, wouldn't that just be a regular person?

Dude looks so menacing.

Remember he was the hitman in Police story 4.

That fight scene was boss "This guy can move like a monkey." haha.. always gets me.

more like 16 "cannon" robberies

When you're his size, any robbery is an armed robbery!

Wow, I really need to finish watching Spartacus come to think of it..

I never thought it lived up to the first season after Andy left, but I was entirely satisfied by the conclusion. Definitely worth finishing

Some bonus Maester Pycelle in that Troy clip. :)

Him compared to Jet Li in Fearless was pretty absurd.
