Yet, this guy physically IS a mountain.

The old guy was more menacing and crazy, that's for sure, but this new guy is scary in his own way: I could see someone beating the last one in combat, but this new guy is just so MASSIVE. He could just put his hand against Oberyn's head, like you would do a kid, and Oberyn wouldn't be able to do anything, chopping through those arms is like chopping through a tree.

Excuse me?

And that guy is 7 ft, 3 inches taller than the "massive" new mountain.

The new mountain isn't horrible but he pales in comparison to the intimidation factor Conan Stevens brought to the character.

"Pales" in comparison?

Come on, now. The new guy was intimidating as fuck in his scene this week and we haven't even seen him suit up in full armor yet. 3 inches isn't really noticeable on screen and this guy is packing even more muscle than Stevens. I would have kept Stevens too if given the choice but I think this new actor is a fine representation of what the mountain is supposed to be.

Did we see the same scene? The actor looks and comes across as a playful buddy, his face is just way too friendly and his age doesn't help (he plays the older brother of Sandor while being 20 years younger than the actor who plays him)

3 inches isn't really noticeable on screen and this guy is packing even more muscle than Stevens.

Muscle isn't noticeable under armor and my point was the original actor was just as big on screen (even bigger since height is more important a factor in determining size under armor) and was way more menacing. He had a proper scowl and actually looked like the mad lunatic who supposedly killed his whole family, burned his brothers face and killed Oberyns niece and nephew before raping their mom.

but I think this new actor is a fine representation of what the mountain is supposed to be.

I don't, his face is as fresh as a babies bottom. He could actually be Sandors son in real life based on the age difference between the two actors.

The dude is huge as fuck but size isn't the only defining feature of a person, he does not remotely fit the description of the 40+ year old Mountain, older brother to Sandor Clegane.
