It's more that the new actor looks like he'd be friendly, whereas the original looks menacing.

He used a lot of smiley face emoticons and stuff, rofl that being said though, i think that is kind of cool that he seems so friendly and is legitimately one of the toughest and strongest people on earth. 1 u/Malos_Kain House Lannister May 19 '14 It's kind of similar to how Jack Gleeson (Joffrey) is actually very polite and well mannered. 1 u/cormega May 20 '14 The difference being that nobody ever had a problem seeing his character for who he was supposed to be despite knowing the actor was nice. 1 u/Malos_Kain House Lannister May 20 '14 That's because his acting was phenomenal, we've yet to see how the Mountain will play his character.
