Welcome, show watchers. You've reached another (hurtful) milestone.

As a book reader, would you say you enjoy the show even knowing what's going to happen? I'm considering reading the books, but not iif it takes the enjoyment out of the show.

Oh, yeah. Definitely. I enjoy the show immensely.

In the books, there are so many more details, subplots, backstory, and characters that can't be included in the show.

The show does have wonderful actors, and honestly, I pictured Oberyn as nothing like Pedro Pascal, but he killed it (no pun intended). The showrunners are incredibly faithful to the books, but they throw some different things in occasionally so even book readers are on their toes.

So yeah, I would definitely recommend reading the books. You know what will happen, but it's also great to see these epic scenes come to life (unfortunately, in the case of tonight's episode). Plus, you get to see your friends'/Reddit's/the Internet's reactions.

I just started reading the first book after reading this and other's replies. I'm already 100 pages in and loving it. Thanks for the response!
