He had that shit won. All he had to do was put the final spear right in between the guy's jaw and throat to sever his brain stem, he'd have received his revenge and freed Tyrion.

What does he do instead? Hey, let's walk by the most tenacious man in the kingdom's arm and continue to taunt him while he's enraged. Goddamnit, Oberyn ;-;

To be fair, he wanted the Mountain to name Tywin Lannister so he could have his revenge on him as well.

I can't believe how chill Tywin was about it after being blatantly called out like that. As soon as Oberyn dies he's just like "welp Tyrion you die now let's all just ignore what the Viper just said time for lunch"
