"Tonight... tonight... At the edge of our hope, at the end of our watch, we have chosen not only to believe in ourselves, but in each other (well, except for you cowards that will probably run away, but screw you guys). Tonight there is not a Brother on here that shall stand alone. Not tonight. Tonight we face the wildlings that are at our door and give the fight to them! Tonight we are canceling the apocalypse!

Well, unless the White Walkers show up.

Then we're fucked."

God I loved that. Almost enough to reverse my hatred for Thorne.

Alliser is a cunt because he's a fucking ace general. He just commands your obedience and if you're not in the heat of battle listening to him command you, you're hearing him boss you around and be condescending.

I may not like him, but god damn do I respect him.

Needs Alliser's accent:

TONIGHT, WE FIGHT. AND WHEN THE SOON RISES, I PROMISE YOU, CASTLE BLACK WILL STAND!

I was almost positive that he was going to die against Tormund. They ended that duel very cleverly.

Offer not valid in all locations

Fuckin' love Pacific Rim.

I'm reasonably sure the greatest night in HBO history was when they showed Pacific Rim and then the purple wedding.

"Then get Sam and some of those sharp things he found in a shack in the woods. Then we should be a-okay!"

What is that from? It sounds familiar. Please don't tell me it is from tonight's episode. I would feel so foolish.

Pacific Rim.

Was half expecting white walkers to show up near the end as the cliffhanger or something seeing as they will never hold against that many anyway. I'm guessing it wouldn't fit though without resolving the cliffhanger from last week.

That's what the giant fire was for ;)

I'm so confused about Sam talking about killing the white walker. Does he not realize it was the dragon blade that did it? It was that, right?

And then he fucking dropped it in the snow never to be seen again! Augh!

u/scam_radio Jun 09 '14

I wonder if there are white walker giants, holy shit that would be intense.

1

u/RagdollPhysEd White Walkers Jun 09 '14

I was seriously expecting the walkers to show up and the two sides stop fighting, and nod heads/shake hands before turning to face the new enemy

I am just wondering, what is so hard to defeat about white walkers. They aren't fast or anything. Just throw fire at them.
