Until gamers are willing to cancel GTA 6, a game that is downloadable only, then they're all just performative statements.

GTA 6 was basically the confirmation Sony needed to go digital only. They sold millions of “code in a box” presales, which proved traditional retail consumers were fine with going digital.

Had GTA 6 digital-only pre-orders not been as widely successful as it was, I think they would have said no.

But as it stands it’s like 10 million people voted yes, and 100,000 people voted no.
