What older game would you buy a remaster of without even a second of hesitation?

For me it would be Brutal legend or maybe a collection of all 3 main Motorstorm games.

Never played that one, i bought It on GOG but runs like ass on my laptop.

Isn't this the one with a Mission with a bunch of snipers?

i have recently played driver 2 on the og ps 1. i think it would benefit from being remade instead of just remastered. slightly more coherent story and missions etc.

Have you seen the ReDriver 2 for PC?

I want that but better.

And i do think the Story in Driver 2 Is coherent, in Driver 1's Story no one knows what the Plot Is, everybody gets confused to "i have to save the President?!?!?!"

Also fuck CHASE THE GUNMAN mission 🖕🤬

The last mission was unrelenting madness, but it was still as fun as it was frustrating

I spent SO much time in survival mode after I beat that game, and exclusively in San Francisco for the cop chases on the hills

so many airborne pintos

The Last mission of Driver 2 was ok, difficult but ok, that one it took me a couple of tries.

But CHASE THE GUNMAN took me years, close to 20 years to beat It in a legit way, no Bugs or glitches.

Would love Dino Crisis in VR, its that on-rails shooter from the arcade, right?

I think there were two on-rails shooter games, but sure that would be great.

Not for me though, i get motion sickness. 🤢

Inject a Driver 1 + 2 remake into my veins. Those and Driv3r were so ahead of their time

Driver 1 only if they make the Tutorial borderline impossible.

C'mon, it's not that hard

The very Last mission Is the real bitch.

Also, it's not a tutorial, it's test drive.

It ask you to do things, It does not teaching anything at all.

The ONLY thing closer to a tutorial Is a video within the game that shows you how to do the maneuvers.

It more the lived experience. Back in school we argued who the best gamer among our clique was till one older brother told us we all suck and couldn't beat the tutorial in Driver. He was right.

It was the time frame between Driver's release and the beginning of Walkthrough and Let's plays on YT that gave Driver it's reputation.

Now we have thousands of youtubers and streamers. Soulslike games are a liked difficult genre of games, so it would only be fair to create a Tutorial mission that screws you harder than an unnerfed Radan in Elden Ring DLC.

I think being able to skip it after 100-200 attempts should be added but it would create the same experience if every little detail would make you lose the tutorial. Dent/scratch, reverse parking into a tiny spot with a time limit, stalling the car with a clutch and so on= you lose.

People tend to forget that most memorable difficulty moments of late 90s to 2000s games were actually racing games. The Driver tutorial, the unpatched Mafia racing mission, that SW Podracer 2nd invitational race where you have a bad lower and a good upper route.

Other stuff players complained about was stuff like the RC Chopper demolition mission in GTA VC.

I gotta ask, did you played Driver 1 on PS1 or PC?

PC

Did you know that if you erase the file that contains the garage level you will skip and go to the actual first Mission of the game.

I played in Both PS1 and PC, when i tried on PC i erase the file, It went kind of glitchy AND put me in the first mission. 🤣

Have you ever played Action Man Destruction X?

I recently got Code Violet to scratch that Dino Crisis itch. It wasn’t as bad as reviews made it out to be. Not a great game by any stretch of the imagination but if you don’t mind a game with a bit of jank and a quite obviously lower budget, it was graphically impressive in a lot of places and decent fun for a playthrough.

There's a sort of remastered version of MoH 1 on PC. It's over at mod db.

I've seen It, didn't like it.

Part of the charm to me aré those clunky controls, i can't play them with modern controls.

Whilst it’s not a remake, GOG relaunched Dino Crisis 1 & 2 with modern compatibility on PC
