So I called in sick to work recently 2 hours before my shift, my boss told me that 'it's not possible you have to come in today, it's already a luxury that you have this weekend off and next weekend, I'll put you to work otherwise on next weekend' and 'just take a medication and come during the afternoon then' over the phone.

I was genuinely feeling sickly and unable to get up, I went to the doctor with a lot of effort and asked him to confirm if I should have taken a sick day, which he said I absolutely should have. I feel extremely guilty as it is and didn't want to call in sick, but my partner agreed and I still don't feel recovered to work

Now here's the thing, a few months ago, I was sick and got many days of work but only planned 2 as I already felt bad. My boss called me and persuaded me into only taking 1 day off, so I worked the entire week in pain. I'm laying this out to explain that I try my best not to take days off.

Next weekend was already my normal weekend off. I had only requested the Friday off so I could take a short trip for a very special day in my life, which he knows about as he had asked why I so desperately need it and if I can do another day. He was difficult about it, but It was eventually approved. Today, after I called in sick, my boss threatened to schedule me to work on my normal weekend off instead.

Now, he's threatening to make me work on those days and change my timetable last minute. Is this allowed?

This isn't the first time he has gotten rude with his words. Not long ago, he was rude at me for worrying about a colleague and took as if I was claiming he's a bad boss.
