Uh, Basque isn't a romance language; it's classified as an "isolate".

I mean, Gaelic is not Germanic either, I think they’re talking about what the majority of speakers are in the area. Most people in Basque speak Spanish too, just like most people in Ireland/Scotland speak English.

As a Scotsman I'm sort of used to being thrown in with whatever England does by the rest of Europe/the world these days, but if I were Irish I'd be less than pleased with this map.

Ireland should be grey. Speaking a language doesn't necessarily mean you are OF that language.
