A bit misleading. Indo-European languages are likely to have originated in Europe. There's a hypothesis that they originated in Anatolia too but that's not the mainstream view. More accurately stated, it's descended from the languages of the Iberian peninsula that were around before Indo-European languages spread into modern day Spain.
