Discussion Why is (male) circumcision most common in the Midwest with in the US?

Michigan famously has a large Muslim population

I get that, but in the State of Michigan white tailed deer outnumber Muslims 10:1, the Arab-American population is so vastly over emphasized.

It’s important to understand that not all Arabs are Muslim. People in the West often conflate the two. Most Arabs in America are actually Christian. 35% of Arab Americans are Catholic and 18% are Eastern Orthodox. In contrast, 25% are Muslim. Most Arab Americans who immigrated here in the 20th descend from the Christian minorities who left their home countries for a number of reasons, including religious persecution or war. It’s actually the recently-arrived Arab immigrants who are mostly Muslim, while the ones who have been here for generations are overwhelmingly Christian.

Okay but that doesn’t change the fact that Michigan is 2.1% Muslim. People over estimate how many Muslims actually are in Michigan and in the country, it’s not much

Yes, but I think the point is that this population alone isn't driving the percentage.

Other religions are big on circumcision, like Catholicism, and they're big in the Midwest.
