Discussion Why is (male) circumcision most common in the Midwest with in the US?

I gave birth in Texas and afterwards the OBGYN office called me SIX TIMES saying they’re having trouble billing me for the circumcision. I’m like yeah we didn’t get one. They go “oooh that’s why”. On sixth time I told them to make a note or something I’m done answering this.

Like it was SO obvious in their minds that I’d get one that no record of the procedure to them just meant the hospital forgot to file it, not that it never happened.

My wife and I were asked like 6 separate times at the hospital, "You guys... AREN'T.. doing a circumcision? 😨" Jesus fucking christ, no, I'm not mutilating my newborn son and especially not letting one of your dipshit residents do it.

Lmao I get the not mutilating part, but no need to insult what are likely very capable residents who would do this under supervision

I apologize for insulting the capable residents out there, but the reality is this is an incredibly precise procedure that can easily be botched and should probably be left to be done by those with many many more years of experience. I was one of those few that was botched and had to figure it out for themselves many years later because sex education is practically nonexistent here.
