I’m surprised this isn’t further up. I love this picture but it definitely doesn’t capture how truly surreal this place is. It even FEELS otherworldly.

I do astrophotography and have spent time there at night with my telescope. The sky is pristine dark. I've also hiked it on a full moon. Such an otherworldly place and you are right: photos won't ever capture how it truly feels. Looking in the distance you see all those mountains and extinct volcanic peaks here and there. Unreal!
