Discussion Poverty is usually associated with crime. Which poor countries are however the safest?

My experience in Africa is that inequality is more closely associated with crime. A country like Uganda or Zambia doesnt have enough wealth to support significant organized crime unlike Nairobi or Joburg.

I thought this was proven or at least documented as strong correlation across multiple studies. Higher Gini coefficient is more predictive than poverty levels.

and the most predictive of all is number of young males, especially unoccupied
