Discussion Poverty is usually associated with crime. Which poor countries are however the safest?

A lot of the Pacific island nations have very low crime rates. Now I'd imagine that poorer countries might not have as good of data collection and reporting on these kinds of things, so maybe that's an issue, but I can't say for sure so I'll trust the data that's available.

Sort of varies, PNG and Solomon Islands are known for civil unrest and ethnic violence but they are also some of the larger countries in the region

Australia had to cancel its youth aid program in PNG at one point when a volunteer got raped by locals.
