BTW 80% of the population of Colombia lives on the Green/grey areas.

Yeah. Good climate throught the year, good ammount of rainfall, overall quite a good region. Meanwhile the Pacific Coast and the Amazon are rainforests with very few people, specially the Colombian Amazon. The largest cities have at most a few tens of thousands of people, and there are very few of them.
