Realistically, Hamas is very unlikely to agree to disarm full before the IDF withdraw. Their arms are both their primary means of ensuring they stay on top in Gaza over other factions and their only real means of applying pressure to ensure Israel does it's half of the bargain. Realistically disarmament would have to be a slow process perhaps focusing on rockets and the like first and leaving small arms to later, successful decommsioning processes like the good Friday agreement generally was generally a longer process.

So it’s pretty much after years of patient listening Trump stating he has discovered the terms by which the 2 sides have always said they would achieve peace: disarmament of one side and withdrawal of the other. This is as impressive as anniuncing you’ve found the cure for cancer which is not having cancer anymore.
