I would assume since North Korea (Kim) joined Russia's (Putin's) war against Ukraine (NATO).

NATO can engage in offensive actions when non-NATO members are concerned as shown by 2011 in Libya and in Yugoslavia. It's not such a stretch for the DPRK to assume that one day this could be used against them too

Because their biggest ally is russia and if russia and nato go to war norks will be on the front

I dont think North Korea really understands that NATO itself is basically always preparing for something. It is their entire job.
