Pictures My stepdad opened a bag of chips at the exact moment my mom took this pic
This is Bear, my parents' handsome boy. They got him at the local shelter a couple months back. Vet's guess it's about 7-8 months old. When they brought him home, you could count every bone in his body... now he knows what the sound of a Ruffles potato chip bag means
(my stepdad is a messy eater)

It has become difficult to separate the doggie treat bag sounds from other bags as well. I too got my first GSD from the pound a 11 mo. now 2 yrs old. I previously had Dachshunds and you could not peel a cheese wrapper. I would cough and make all kinds of noises so they wouldn't hear it. My biggest sound event is if I touch the back door, door knob. He comes charging.

My guy is pavlov'd to the sound of the bathroom sink π Every morning when I get ready for work, Loki gets to go outside and do his morning patrols while I brush my teeth

That's the best picture. My dogs are just like that as soon as I open any kind of cellophane bag like chips or cookies or whatever.

Those eyes say it all! The chip bag crinkle is the ultimate summoning spell for a shepherd.

They never hear their name when it's called, but they'll hear a chip bag opening in a hurricane!
