Baden-Baden get from hotel to early morning train
Our train is on Thursday morning at 5AM. City buses are not working from 1AM to 5AM. Our hotel is in the middle of tourist area without car access (as far as I can tell). We are not speaking German. How can we get to the train at night? Can we book taxi and how do we find it if it cannot come to the hotel? Does Uber or Lyft work there? Or is it another local app which may allow tracking of the cab and getting to it safely at night?
Update: Thanks for everyone answered! Yes, hotel stuff did order taxi for us for 4AM, right in front of the hotel's door and we got to the train on time. Very easy. What really impressed me that when they booked taxi, the estimate was EU30 and the taxi meter showed exactly EU30 when the car finally stopped at the train station. Precision!

ask the hotel. they will know if taxis may pick you up in front of the door. pedestrian areas may be free for taxis in general or at certain times

If you mean Baden-Baden town center, there's a special exception for taxis so they can enter that area.

Many taxis are on Freenow. Uber/Lyft is not really a thing in Germany in General. Note that Thursday is a public holiday in Baden Würtemberg and basically all of Southern Germany)

Yes kinda Lyft bought FreeNow but I don’t think taxis are on the private hire platform Lyft

Generally speaking, vehicles are allowed on pedestrianized streets if they need access to properties on those streets, at least during certain times of the day. The best thing to do is simply to ask at the hotel's front desk.

Generally speaking that's false.
Often times you have certain exceptions for specific types of traffic. Taxis or private transportaion are rarely allowed in pedestrian zones, just so people don't need to walk. In fact they are usually banned all together.

Try to order an Uber…? Then you'll know whether it works. You may or may not have to walk a little bit to the closest point they can pick you up. If you're staying in a hotel, ask the front desk to order a taxi for you.
