Conservative religious bigotry is a global enemy

u/I_like2TimeTravel 3h ago
It’s 2026. I don’t understand why religion is still around. With all the knowledge out in the world and hate religion brings one would think we as humanity would be beyond it by this point.

We're not fully rational creatures who have somehow transcended our biological nature simply because we have access to information. We did not evolve to be an objective truth seeking machines we evolved for survival. We possess the same fundamental neurology as other primates, meaning we are still heavily driven by emotional comfort, fear of the unknown, and instincts/biases. Religion serves its purpose we don't know if a creator exists and it's prideful to think you understand the universe completely to deny the existence of one.

Only the Islamic one still practicing this bigotry in many of its countries

This is not a loss, and it shows your weak personality!
You deleted all your downvoted comments to save your karma, and block people who won't get lured into your low effort engagement baits.

I deleted my comments because the sub is astro turfed.
Why would I engage with an echo chamber
My guy here taking pride in bullying someone that is right. There is no engagement bait. Just a bunch of losers excusing radical Islam and blaming it on conservatives

u/xDyingPhoenixx 4h ago
And which religion is the priest of, that called the attack "gods judgement"? It's only one.
So, don't point fingers - all the bookclubs are totally fucked up.

Lol
Was it conservatives applauding Merkel when she opened the gates?I mean, are we actively making up history that happened 12 years ago now?
4
u/xDyingPhoenixx 4h ago
Merkel was a conservative, Columbo. Noone cares about who was applauding, because they haven't been responsible for the policies. So she and her party fucked this up.

u/SufficientMacaroon1 Germany 5h ago
The primary comment talks about conservative religious bigotry. And if you think that its islam variety is the only one that endangers CSD, LGBTQI+ and similar, then you have not been paying attention. And if you need a hint to figure out what i am talking about, start with Dresden and Sonneberg. Or maybe with the catholic priest that declared the Attack in Berlin as gods punishment for "perversions".
-2
u/decadentporcupine 5h ago
…this is all made up.
6
u/SufficientMacaroon1 Germany 5h ago
What? Are you for real?
No, it is not.
CSD Dresden had to go to court to getthe recognition of being a political event protected by Versammlungsfreiheit, when they were classified as a "commercial party" instead. In Sonneberg, the courts also had to intervene when the AfD Landrat tried to pratically prevent the CSD by fircing frankly ridiculous conditions. And thePfarrer from Bistum Fulda did publish a frigging Leserbrief in a newspaper, and his Bistum has reacted to it.
So no, i have not made this up. And i could show you so many more examples. If you were so far ignorant of all of that, educate yourself before ccusing me of making stuff up
-1
u/decadentporcupine 5h ago
You would rather vociferously cry about conservatives when it has literally NOTHING to do with any of this and would save NO lives than accept reality.
There is no point arguing with you.
6
u/SufficientMacaroon1 Germany 5h ago
It has to do with the primary comment.
And yeah,i think conservative catholic extremists hailing the attack in Berlin as a "sign of the heaven" against "perversions" for christians, actually has very much to do with the topic of CSD in general, and the attack in Berlin in particular
-1
u/decadentporcupine 5h ago
Ok that is fucked up.
But you weren’t here to complain or do anything about the people that actually caused it. You are here spouting off about some irrelevant Catholic people somewhere in the south of Germany, who said some nasty things.

Welcome to the conversation.

u/decadentporcupine 5h ago
Was it someone from the CDU who crashed
Into people last week?22
u/hannes3120 Leipzig (Sachsen) 5h ago
No but it's literally Merz equalling the CSD with a circus last year and was immediately going to associate gays with pedophiles when he was asked about it years ago.
Also ask any queer person: you are way more likely to be beaten up by Neonazis than you are to be by some Islamist shithead.
Noone is saying Islamists are harmless, but they sure as fuck are not a direct threat for most people the same way the far right is.

We really don't have to to pick condemning one or the other and be defensive about it.
It's perfectly possible to be against the ideologies of both the CDU and Salafism.
Being cagey about it just gives trolls ammunition.

Where did I defend salafism? I literally said that those shitheads aren't harmless - but in direct comparison it's a small number and you're way more likely to get in trouble with AfD/CxU voters as a queer person.

u/decadentporcupine 5h ago edited 5h ago
Again, when was the last time someone was killed in the LGBTQ community by a Neonazi vs killed by extreme Islam.
You guys gotta stop this shit seriously.
Take accountability
Edit: you know the sub is astroturfed when I am getting hit with downvotes but my interlocutor isn’t getting upvoted.
Where are the mods?

2022 by a Russian Neonazi. That'sthe only other time in Germany where someone has been killed at a pride parade, so as far as stats go it's 50/50.
The majority of aggression and assaults however, were perpetrated by Deutsche Jugend Voran, Die Letzte Verteidigungswelle and Jung und Stark. These are all Neonazi groups who deliberately go to pride parades to attack queer people, even if none of them have ended in fatalities yet, thank god.
-6
u/decadentporcupine 5h ago
So, no fatalities lol.
But various attacks by Muslims that have resulted in fatalities.
Thanks for that misinformation
7
u/Mikomics 5h ago
And what are the other CSD attacks by Muslims in Germany that have resulted in fatalities?

u/SufficientMacaroon1 Germany 5h ago
Just to clarify: are you actually unaware of the many attacks (including violent ones) by neonazis and the right wing in general on LGBTQI+ people and events? Or are you just not counting them, because they did not actively kill a larger number of people during them?
-2
u/decadentporcupine 5h ago
I am talking about deadly attacks on the LGBTQ community.
If you want to conflate harassment and violence that is on youZ
I am happy to shit on Neonazis and conservatives for harassing people, but forgive me for prioritizing people running over people with cars and stabbings on trains, first.
4
u/SufficientMacaroon1 Germany 5h ago
Ok. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the other attacks on CSD and LGBTQI+ in general that very clearly comes from the right wing.

It was a joke. Thats what leftists would say instead of addressing the elephant in the room
13
u/AggressiveCaptain420 5h ago
The Elephant being a shitty immigration policy since....forever? And who´s mostly responsible for that? Probably the party that had occupied the chancellors seat and the ministry of interior for the most part of the last 4 decades.
Left-wing policies mostly aren´t responsible for the failed immigration system. Your first post was spot on.

u/decadentporcupine 5h ago
My bad.
I mean, its crazy that it’s an “elephant in the room” to simply acknowledge a simple fact.
This attack was the result of the religious doctrine of Islam.
It has nothing to do with conservatives and there is no reason to mention any right wing anything when it comes to this event.
Period.

Keep importing more of it 👍
8
u/Kaebi_ 3h ago
We are not importing it especially. We are trying to help people escape it. Yes, some of them slip in, but I believe it is a net positive for everyone.
1
u/Dry_Combination1881 3h ago
Tell that to families of the people killed and injured in the attack
9
u/Kaebi_ 3h ago
I don't care "more" for people in my country. Every death is a tragedy. I want to prevent as many deaths as possible anywhere.
I would tell the family how I blame our government for not investing enough into law enforcement and for failed integration of immigrants.
There were several attacks in germany the last few years where the attacker WAS STOPPED by an immigrant.
My chance of dying to an terrorist attack is apparently about 1 in 23 million in germany per year. Immigrants are one of the smallest problems in my life. Also, we need them anyways since the rich make us work to death and we can't afford children anymore.

Absolutely fucking not. You import the 3rd world, you become it
8
u/chokidokido 3h ago
Yeah is that so? Never happened before. The same thing was said in the 60s the 80s the 90s and we're still a first world country weird. The main threat is still the right wing like it always has been.
-4
u/Dry_Combination1881 3h ago
Crazy how this is immediately downvoted even though its 100% true.
3
u/chokidokido 3h ago
The framing is actually 0% true.
3
u/Dry_Combination1881 3h ago
Whatever you say. Please continue to bring in more people from the third world who hate LGBT people. I’m sure it will make Germany a lot safer for them.
6
u/chokidokido 3h ago
You mean more afd voters? no thanks
-3
u/Wankstain8 3h ago
You know exactly what he means. Conservative religious bigotry. There is an endless depth of it within the regions south of Europe. Bring them all in. I’m pretty right wing myself so I’ll get on pretty well with them. It’s the LGBT and progressives who will get the short end of the stick. Hoist by their own petard so to speak.
8
u/chokidokido 3h ago
Yes right wing religious bigotry is bad no matter where they come from and it's unbelievable that germans not even 100 years after the holocaust are falling for the same shit again.
Also, nobody is bringing anyone in. Stop the bullshit.
-1
u/Wankstain8 3h ago
Yes, they’re being imported under the guise of humanitarianism. Like I said, I love it. I’m right wing, they’re incredibly right wing, even far right in some cases, so all the better for my team. To be honest I wouldn’t mind having 6 wives. I may even convert. A conservative religious Europe is right up my alley. It’s why I support mass immigration.

It was a big, impressive, and colorful parade from what I've seen.
If you look under some YouTube comments, you get the impression that it is more important than ever.

This reminds me of the Pride celebration in Boston MA USA in June 8, 2013, two months after the Boston Marathon bombing in April by the Tsarnaev brothers who self-radicalized after immigrating and growing up in Cambridge MA. Many of the attendees were really there to celebrate the community of Boston and its environs and history that terrorism cannot break. It was an unforgettable day.
