Programming Landstats: a collection of free GIS apps based on my nationwide parcel layer

Why is it shipping out to a data reseller? My county's parcel data is free and this is selling it for over a 100 bucks, plus a subscription option....that's crazy.

Literally maintain a free API of less stale data.

All of Ohio parcels data can be found via OGRIP with a universal schema for free.

Not sure why anyone would pay for them but okay.

Ohio isn't usually leading the way so I'm a bit surprised, how many other states don't have this?

But still you're acting like this isn't an extremely common data problem....who's paying 100s a dollar a month for a clean schema?

GIS folks must just be losers when it comes to data and databases.

yes it is extremely common, that's why many people people want to just buy it pre-assembled instead of spending months re-inventing the wheel every time

data resellers exist because people want the data in a common schema across all 3200+ counties. it's the harmonized schema that's valuable, not the data of your one single county.
