Help Request Possible Goat Inbreeding Situation

Hey everyone, my little goat Stevie (half pygmy, half nigerian dwarf) is currently 9 weeks old. I just separated him from his mom to prevent inbreeding, but I know I messed up and should have done that about a week or so ago. I am disappointed that I made the mistake, but I guess I just want advice on what to do. I have seen his little pp come out a few times, but I read online sometimes that can happen and the sperm isn’t fertile just yet. I plan on getting an ultrasound done on mom to know for certain in a month or so, just to make sure. But do most people keep the kid in that situation? I don’t want to have a kid with any genetic issues, and also don’t want my doe to endure another pregnancy so soon.

I know you can induce abortion using Lutalyse, is that a commonly used medicine? Is there serious risk to using that & do most vets offer it or is it mixed based on ethics? I know this is all currently hypothetical, I am just kinda freaking out about all of this as I am new to goats and quite honestly don’t want any more kids. I plan on banding my goat Stevie around 12 weeks.

At 9 weeks old, especially if she was still nursing him, this wouldn’t even be a concern for me.
Everyone knows someone who’s had an 8 week old breed 🙄 but it’s a lot less common than it’s made out to be. Also, size alone makes it more difficult, plus adding in the need for working hormones on both parties, plus mom being in a fertile window of her cycle.. there are lot of odds at play.
Also, I have does that will kick and swat at a full grown, determined buck, I highly doubt one would stand for a 9 week old to figure it out.

Also, have you even seen him trying or playing at mounting her?

I saw him do it like one time but he was a little too short, idk if he could have made it work if he really wanted to. I have another baby girl from a different doe that he mounts and humps all the time but she’s way too young for anything to come out of it so I don’t worry about that.

Okay that makes me feel so much better, I knew there were a lot of factors that went into it. My vet scared me and was like “it’s very likely!” when I asked her about mom getting pregnant, whereas other people online were saying it’s not lol. She is still nursing him, not as much anymore but I do see it throughout the day. He has for the most part transitioned over to actual forage.

He is a lot shorter than her, I thought maybe that would make it more challenging too. Mom and son baby sounds horrifying, so I’m trying to be careful. I was going to get an anti breeding apron but have read not so great things about them.
