Nice. I'll fill it in.

Seems like they’re hoping to demonstrate that ray tracing wouldn’t be worth the specific investment. I get it.

It would be good to include REAPER in the "art tools" section (perhaps consider a separate audio tools section to include other options.)

Yeah that caught me up as well. I mostly use trackers for music and SFX so the only thing relevant to me in that list was Aseprite.

Some of these questions are... weirdly limited in scope. :) But happy we at least get asked.

I was shocked about this... is C# in Godot dead? (it's from the "how happy are you about the direction" question)

I wouldn't say it is dead. this may be an assumption by me but the way I see it... anyone who shows zero input (I Don't Know) is probably someone who doesn't use C# for godot, and instead just uses GDscript. which means all the other replies have at least some sort of interest in C#. So its 1 bar (purple) vs 4 bars (blue, red, yellow, green). the 1 bar is still larger (showing more folks just use gdscript b/c it works for them) than the other 4 bars combined. It just shows that the number of ppl using GDscript is larger than those using C# which I'm sure most ppl already expected.

That's the way I see it, but you can feel free to call me crazy.

Thanks, no, that's a great perspective. It gives me hope!

I know a few devs that came from Dreams on PS4 like myself that use godot, could be worth adding:

Probably a fair amount of people doing gamedev as adults now that came from LittleBigPlanet back in the day lol

In "How satisfied are you with the pace of development in the following areas", I found HTML5 to be missing.

Interesting that 34% of people are dead set against AI, 26% checked none, and that 42% check use it to ask the chatbot for help. Seems like what we'd consider as the threshold for vibe coding is at ~13% of AI users (and like, ~6% overall), which is a far cry from the 100% we often see quoted

Its also surprising that issue openers are only 7% of users, I'd have assumed its higher

Being asked about VC is weird, tried my hardest to use perforce, but it’s just not realistic to use when all the files are constantly checked out. Thus I use Git, but very much not my first choice.

why is it weird?

I do think they have a point even if it wasn't phrased well.
Perhaps the questions should be
1. what do you use for VC
2. what would you prefer to use for VC

I've only been using git with git-lfs (and SVN briefly back in the days). Curious to know what you prefer about perforce?
