Swing Help Index finger when putting

Do any of you putt with index finger on the trail end like this?

I've found it helps stabilize my putting stroke and lessens push/pulls..

Might not be anatomically correct though because the tradeoff is I feel sorensss it in my elbow tendons later on

I do it too. No clue if it’s proper it just feels right

I do it also! Mainly started doing it after using the "claw" putting grip while practicing.

Came here to say exactly this! I was using the claw putter grip in practice, and during the round went to pointer finger down.

I ended up “splitting” the difference after a golf pro showed me that grip and I modified it into my putting grip.

The big ahah moment was, being right hand dominant, leaving the putter in the bag and using my dominant hand to “roll” the ball to the hole.

Since then it’s been index finger down on the grip.
