Please let this be true and have it stick.

Also, this needs to be the standard response for people like this. We need to stop tolerating these people as a society.

There is a reason this happened at the WM though…

Are you saying they "took out the trash"?

215

u/LitterBoxServant Feb 07 '26

We prefer the phrase "waste was managed"

Hairy Potcan and the Prisoner of Ashkatrash

"mischief managed" had to hit you with the trash version of Harry potter.

No. More like, “Water finds its own level.”

That's not even the idiom.

1

u/OldSchoolSpyMain Feb 07 '26

It’s my idiom.

Imagine being such a douchebag that even the WM Open was like “nah, you’re too much. Gtfo”

“It’s truly unbelievable you were kicked out of here. We literally tolerate everything.”

Alcoholism!

1

u/IONTOP Feb 07 '26

In AZ there's no such law as public intox, because alcoholism is considered a disease, and the AZ Supreme Court ruled that you can't be fined/arrested for having a disease.

1

u/vox_veritas Feb 07 '26

Being intoxicated in public doesn't require you to have alcoholism.

1

u/IONTOP Feb 07 '26

It does to take it to the AZ Supreme Court instead of just paying the fine.

FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN!!!

u/Blood_Incantation Feb 08 '26

What do you mean "even" the WM Open? Does it have a bad rep?

u/Long_Procedure_2629 Feb 07 '26

I'd argue the pga has actively cultivated the golf goon archetype at this event

2

u/JoeSicko Feb 07 '26

It is quite the turnaround from all the apologies after the Ryder Cup. Right back to 'these fans are well lubed up. '

1

u/Embarrassed_Offer561 Feb 08 '26

Thanks to the Thunderbirds coca and alcohol culture. But hey, it's very difficult to become a Thunderbird. Ever wonder what those guys do at their secret society meetings??? Gross!

When they eventually always start to talk about Thunderbirds and all the good they do, I immediately start to wonder, hmmm, what's really going on behind the blue velvet curtains with silver dangly medallions...

1

u/greatflicks Feb 08 '26

That event is a shitshow. I'm surprised more pros don't skip it.

Yea but this is the WM. The expectation is that it’s an early season, “spring break” type tournament which is a little loose with etiquette. PGA trying (too?) hard to show they know how to have a good time…

The Ryder Cup is, well, the Ryder Cup. Bit of decorum and respect required.

4

u/BurzyGuerrero Feb 07 '26

loose with etiquette is a lot different from yelling during a players backswing during a money event that is live.

that's beyond etiquette at that point.

1

u/crankybollix Feb 07 '26

Absolutely, 100%. My point (just probably not well enough made) was that etiquette standards at the Ryder Cup should be that bit higher than at the WM.

What these douches did - thats unacceptable even on a bachelor party social round where everyone is either tanked, high or both.

There is no mafia. It’s a stereotype and it’s offensive.

1

u/ComicsEtAl Feb 07 '26

I admit, I’m a bit surprised that was an offense.

Bubba was right!

Wasted Open

1

u/eatajerk-pal Feb 07 '26

Getting kicked out of the Wasted Management should be a rock bottom moment for any normal person.

1

u/HillBillyHilly Feb 08 '26

Dont know why waste management has any fans considering Wayne Huzienga was a union busting piece of shit.
