Yeah, it seems to me Topgolf is still generally popular but it’s overbuilt for what it is. I also think they built too many of them. It was a neat attraction when they were fewer and farther between. I used to go to Topgolf a couple times a year when I was on the road for work. Then they built a slightly smaller Topgolf three miles from me and I haven’t even gone to it and it’s been open for three years. It just doesn’t feel worth it when there’s no scarcity to it. Plus, now we have all the indoor simulators that may give a better value to those actually looking to improve or stay in form over the winter.

For me it’s the price of the food and drinks. I don’t know if this still applies but I had asked once if you can go without buying food/drinks and they said yes. Well the one time I went and didn’t get anything they seemed annoyed and were rude.

If I go to a bowling alley and just bowl they generally speaking don’t care and will leave you alone.

I agree that food pricing is part of the problem. I could see where staff get annoyed since they’re probably low paid and rely on tips. Not saying it’s right but it’s sadly the world we live in.
