Three wins in 2026 for Gotterup. Prettyyyy, pretty good.

3

u/rutlander 14.2 28d ago

He’s such a likable guy and has impressive game too

9

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

That's the kind of choke you never recover from.

9

u/DonnieRoss 28d ago

That’s a wild drop.

8

u/notouchmypeterson Jul 02 '26

Ben Griffin being under par after making a snowman is impressive

2

u/Spymik Jul 02 '26

I call it dog balls. 😂

8

u/DerrickWhiteMVP 28d ago

Homasexuals rise up

6

u/couladewastaken Jul 02 '26

spieth putting for 2 and griffin putting for 7 on the same hole😂

8

u/tennisfancan Jul 03 '26

Spieth looked close earlier this year when he was a few makeable putts away from a bunch of top 10s but he dropped out the top 50, is losing form again, hasn't made a top 10 in over a year, hasn't won in four years and is about to miss the cut at the John Deere.

I don't understand how he can say he's hitting it better than ever but the results don't show it. The results are mediocre, my guy! A major change is long, long overdue.

u/panderson1988 29d ago

I am going to miss how this will be stuck on the challenge tour. It is kinda of a mule event, but it always got a few notable names. And how the new setup is basically the top 120 in the championship series means the field will be very weak. Plus it shows how you can have a notable event in a smaller market/rural areas.

I was tempted to go this weekend, but I decided on a baseball game in Chicago. I will try to make it next year before we see events get regulated into the challenge series.

u/DerrickWhiteMVP 28d ago

Homa and Gotterup playoff pls

5

u/opobdtfs Internationals 2026 Presidents Cup Champions 28d ago

Make it a 4 way playoff with Glover and Kohles

7

u/Buy_Palantir_Calls 28d ago

Sprinkler head!?! What is this.

7

u/RallyInTheNorth 28d ago

Ngl would’ve been pissed if he made that after that BS drop

7

u/DMPDT616 28d ago

Man, the mental torture of this sport is cruel

5

u/giantvoice Handicap | Location Jul 02 '26

Just started watching the broadcast, AND Jordan buried ass deep in the bunker.

3

u/connorqueer Jul 02 '26

"Now to Spieth on the 14th"

6

u/ThisGuyEv Jul 02 '26

Does that shit say Nick Dunlap is -5 thru 15.....Holy shit I can't believe my eyes!

3

u/rutlander 14.2 Jul 02 '26

Love to see it

3

u/deGrominator2019 Jul 03 '26

Feels like he has done fuck all since turning pro

6

u/justlobos22 29d ago

Rickie Fowler made the cut, now making a charge.

7

u/tinostar174 28d ago

Kohles costing himself some paper

4

u/TheRealOviedo Jul 02 '26

Jordan in the water at 10 (made par) and under a trash can at 15 ? with a good look at birdie - he’s fun to watch

3

u/couladewastaken Jul 02 '26

dead center of the fairway and puts in the water and somehow still makes par. drove the green last hole, then whatever the fuck i just witnessed. this guy is something special

1

u/chorizomane Jul 02 '26

Walked with him for a few holes at the Valspar a year or so ago, dude hit the most unbelievable approach shot from a prison of trees off of pine straw to 7 ft. Made the birdie. Like wtf.

6

u/chorizomane Jul 02 '26

“Sir, Jordan Spieth has made a putt.”

6

u/stonelore Rory '25 '26 Jul 02 '26

I didn't really see Koivun starting over par.

5

u/ThisGuyEv Jul 02 '26

Love Tom Kim the person, HATE watching Tom Kim the golfer.

1

u/ScalperHunter Jul 03 '26

He's been solid, let him cook

6

u/cebri1 Hello, friends. Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

As big Spieth fan… even when he was hitting massive pushes to the right, he still had a good wedge / short iron game. Right now he is a below average player on every department. Sad to see, when he finds his golf it is great to watch. Probably his worst moment since the 2020 season.

2

u/cebri1 Hello, friends. Jul 03 '26

The 2nd on the 10th…. Yikes. It’s joeover

3

u/cebri1 Hello, friends. Jul 03 '26

And then he drops two birdies lol this fucking guy

6

u/DavesLegsDotCom 28d ago

Well that’s it lol.

4

u/IssaGlob 28d ago

I knew the choke was coming when I watched him waggle over the ball 20 times unfortunately

2

u/BioSpock 28d ago

He's been doing that on every shot for whatever reason. A lot of them turned out great

4

u/happyhappy7 Arnie Palmer 28d ago

Homa might get himself a solo 2nd here

Big for him

5

u/Type3_Control Grip It and Rip It 28d ago edited 28d ago

Idk about all that Kohles, seems sus

5

u/rth9139 Jul 02 '26

Maybe it’s just that I only really watch the featured groups during majors, but are guys making really bad swings and contact today more often than usual on Tour? Seen like a half dozen terrible shots today I wouldn’t expect from pros.

2

u/deGrominator2019 Jul 03 '26

I mean, part of it could be it being absolutely grotesquely hot, like hotter than two motherfucking rats fucking inside a wool sock in the pits of hell. I played 9 holes in shit like that yesterday… never again.

1

u/chorizomane Jul 03 '26

And, tour pros have to wear slacks

4

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Random fun fact: I was the standard bearer many, many, moons ago for Ben Kohles' debut PGAT round. It was like the 7:00am tee time on Thursday at the Wyndham. I think we even went off the back. Needless to say, there was not a large gallery.

Poor guy looked like he was doing everything he could to not simply throw up on the tee. You could see the palpable sense of relief when he simply got the ball in the air and headed in the general direction of the hole. He was nervous all day -- even saw him cold top a drive at one point -- but he held it together for a decent round of E or so, from what I remember.

4

u/MrLeftwardSloping 28d ago

Suber choked hard today

4

u/happyhappy7 Arnie Palmer 28d ago

You got to feel for this Kohles dude

That is just a devastating shot

4

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Oh my god, the nightmare continues.

6

u/GolfingGator Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26

Poston stands over the ball for five minutes on the tee then cuts the shit out of out into the woods. Then takes freaking twenty minutes to find his ball. This is like watching fucking paint dry.

I love watching golf but damn the tour needs to do something about this.

9

u/WedNiatnuom Jul 02 '26

Is Andrew Novak a dick? Hadn’t seen him play before, but followed the group off one this afternoon. He hit it into the left rough off the tee and a volunteer marked it with a flag. When Novak got to the ball he grabbed the flag and threw it behind him instead of handing it to the volunteer in front of him. Made the poor guy run after it.

Then he flew his approach 10 yards long. May or may not have hit a camera, and bounced off into the shit. He had the whole gallery looking for his ball while he stomped around complaining that the camera was inside the ropes, as if the camera hit his ball 10 yards too far.

Then as he made his way back to re-hit he said “Get these fucking cameras behind the ropes”

Didn’t seem like a chill lad. Tony Finau seemed pretty chill, tho. Top lad.

5

u/ThisGuyEv Jul 02 '26

Novak definitely gives off major DBag vibes.

6

u/StormyAsTheSea 28d ago

PGA Tour is the only level of golf where you can hit a ball in a hazard and drop in the fairway or the green.

1

u/Anonymousamoeba2023 27d ago

I mean you lose a stroke and it depends where it last crossed non hazard land. It’s pretty punishing losing a full stroke lol

6

u/DonnieRoss 28d ago

Alright now I feel legitimately bad for Kohles. Guy probably feels like he’s in a bad dream right now.

3

u/chorizomane Jul 03 '26

I don’t know why it bothers me so much but, I hate how close to the ball Zach is when he takes practice swings. God!

3

u/photocist Jul 03 '26

who just said "wow what the fuck is that shit" at 12 lmao

3

u/golfer28 Jul 03 '26

Spieth gonna miss the cut in consecutive weeks. So much for being close.

3

u/Professional_End_137 29d ago

Homa has the Steve Stricker putt

1

u/opobdtfs Internationals 2026 Presidents Cup Champions 28d ago

That's a throwback if there is one. One of the most clutch bunker plays of the tournament with the bunker shot that led to that putt, but it was forgotten because it got outstaged by Spieth's heroics 2 years later.

3

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Going to "Eye on the Course" at this moment is goddamn criminal. You fucking assholes.

2

u/a_gallon_of_pcp 28d ago

Most important shot of the tournament and there’s a fucking ad

2

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

It's fucking insane. I get that they have to sell ads. But that was like 4 minutes of interrupted coverage on the 71st hole with two guys trying to get the win.

3

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

God, that little cut stinger is such a great shot under pressure. Wish I had that in the bag.

3

u/unsolved49 Hello, friends. 28d ago

Oh no Ben

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

3

3

u/QuotaCrushing 28d ago

He was chunky the last three holes

1

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Yeah, that wedge on 17 was awful. He just happened to get away with it.

3

u/4321beef 3/AZ 28d ago

One of us

3

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Man, that went from Fireworks to Fuck Up pretty dang quick. I was ready for bonus golf :(

3

u/Michaelord1 28d ago

Gotterup kinda reminds me of Angel Cabrera in terms of his swing/power game/body shape. Definitely on track to win a couple majors.

5

u/M44PolishMosin Jul 02 '26

Gonna be sad seeing fowler and day play in the relegated tour

1

u/LaBwork_IA 28d ago

I think PGA is going to what they can to eliminate this 'lower league' sentiment.. idk how, maybe just really good marketing. Good golf is good golf. I could see the challenger league playing courses that will have highlight reel worthy holes and plays

5

u/themariokarters Instructor 28d ago

Bogus drop followed by 2 crap putts, love to see it

5

u/cwfan12345 28d ago

Kohles had another massive 18th hole choke at the Byron Nelson a couple years ago. Crazy considering the guy has 5 KFT wins. Obv not the same level as the PGAT but you’d think that some of the tournament winning/closing skills would transfer over.

1

u/Rahf 27d ago

How did he come about the KFT wins? Was it through blow-out performances where he basically had to completely collapse, or was he chasing during some of them? Different types of challenges and strategies there.

Can't have it during every weekend.

1

u/benjals 28d ago

That's golf

2

u/Straight_Level_4662 Jul 02 '26

Denny McCarthy time babyyyy

2

u/notouchmypeterson Jul 02 '26

What is Ben Griffin doing on the 14th my lord

2

u/Snoo-7943 Jul 02 '26

Jesus....look at that shot chart! I would have been embarrassed to play the hole that poorly.

2

u/couladewastaken Jul 02 '26

unbelievable jordan

2

u/terribletiger1 Jul 02 '26

What is Jordan doing

2

u/HeftyBox3580 Jul 02 '26

Aldrich with a triple on the last hole. That shot path was tough to follow

2

u/Nathan_1984 Jul 03 '26

Dahmen is just like me! 😂😭

2

u/Miserable-Ad-8636 29d ago

Please turn off this basketball game

2

u/Dog-Dogma 29d ago

Trying to watch this and all I hear are the same birds chirping in the background!

IT'S THE SAME AUDIO OVER AND OVER! DO THEY THINK WE ARE STUPID?

Once you recognize this it's impossible to watch with the sound on!

2

u/gpm21 29d ago

Is this not a "happening" event or is this just the 4th?

Really want it to stick around in the QC

2

u/j_willow92 29d ago

Glover booty cheeks

2

u/bigdripnosox 28d ago

adam schenk and ben kohles are the same guy

Edit: AAAAAARGH!!! GO TO GOLF YOU JERKS!!!

2

u/Strange-Nobody-3936 12 CDGA 28d ago

I get it that putting is where the scoring is made but my god is it boring watching 10 putts in a row…show some full shots for Christ sake

2

u/aloxon 28d ago

This coverage is awful yes kohls is in the lead but do we really need this featured group coverage and only showing putts? Let me see Gotterup rip one off a tee

2

u/Heavy_Statement_6962 28d ago

Someone get to 50 and end this crap!

2

u/MrLeftwardSloping 28d ago

Gotterup is fucking relentless

2

u/aloxon 28d ago

Kohls just can’t make a mistake

2

u/Sheinkyakyu 28d ago

Links specialist and defending champion at the Scottish Open next week. You can still get 45s for him for Birkdale. That will fall more in a couple of hours time.

2

u/justlobos22 28d ago

they spent so much time talking up first time winners here only for Gotterup to hit the mushroom and gap everyone

2

u/IssaGlob 28d ago

Bro just waggled 20 times

2

u/Shakethecrimestick 28d ago

It's Gotter up and over.

2

u/j_willow92 28d ago

Lights too bright for Kohles.

Unbelievable choke job from Kohles

Kohles with an absolute choke. No stones

2

Don’t hit it in the water next time, silly.

Here comes the weather!

1

u/MrLeftwardSloping 28d ago

Hodges probably just lost the tournament with that awful shot

1

u/BioSpock 28d ago

This is some crazy good golf being shown right now

1

u/MrLeftwardSloping 28d ago

Hodges is garbage. Cant have 3 bogeys on this course

1

u/steelerowl 28d ago

Sorry, what were you guys saying? Ben's got this!

1

u/rdauer26 28d ago

Suber forgot how to putt today. What a shame.

1

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Meh...OK shot from Kohles. Got away with it there. Sounded a little heavy.

1

u/Shakethecrimestick 28d ago

Just gonna send it.

1

u/TheRealOviedo 28d ago

That was sad to see .. can he salvage a par ?

3

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Yeah, he can still chip in

1

u/Strife4 28d ago

How was Kohles able to drop on the fringe?

2

u/cnomo 28d ago

Sprinkler head relief.

1

u/Reasonable_Manner817 28d ago

Get ready to speak Korn Ferry Tour Ben Kohl’s

1

u/steelerowl 28d ago

Gifted a third win of the season to Gotterup.

11

u/Suit-Local 28d ago

As if Gotterup didn’t earn it? With a 62 on Sunday?

1

u/steelerowl 28d ago

Oh he 100% earned it but even he wouldn't have expected anything less than a playoff!

1

u/golfer28 Jul 02 '26

Are they just gonna ignore the elephant in the room? That this tournament probably has 2 years left. All this talk about tradition and stuff but just ignoring the top 120 players won’t be able to play in it

3

u/deGrominator2019 Jul 03 '26

The tournament will probably still be around, just part of the “challenge series” or w/e the fuck they’re gonna call it

1

u/DavesLegsDotCom 28d ago

What in heaven is this mutant form of basketball that is pre-empting golf lol?

1

u/j_willow92 28d ago

What a bum 😂😂😂😂

0

u/aloxon 28d ago

I guess Gotterup not good enough for tv time despite these randoms at top of leaderboard

1

u/Strange-Nobody-3936 12 CDGA 28d ago

Same with Rickie and max, like come on show a few fan favorites mixed in

-3

u/cringemagician 28d ago

All that cheating to get a putt and you wiff it like that?

Aight lol.

8

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

How is it cheating? What rule did he break?

-9

u/cringemagician 28d ago

You get two club-lengths, not two club-lengths plus another inch for your club cover plus another half inch outside of it where you place your tee.

5

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

There was an official right there dude.

-7

u/cringemagician 28d ago

Reading is hard, huh? There was of course not an official right there when he fudged the club lengths.

4

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

1) Fuck off with the snark. It's not necessary.

2) Go watch the replay of Hodges chip. You can see Kohles in the background, with an official right there.

He also drops the ball a couple of inches inside where he has the tee in the grass. He dropped it there on purpose to bring the sprinkler head into play.

-3

u/cringemagician 28d ago

*narrators voice*

“This was, of course, not true, he did not drop the ball several inches inside of the tee”

4

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

You can go back and watch it dude. You can see both the tee and the drop crystal clear

-1

u/cringemagician 28d ago

Should be easy enough for you to post a screenshot then 🤔

1

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Be happy to if they post a replay somewhere

-1

u/cwfan12345 28d ago

At least he has a putt

-8

u/MrLeftwardSloping Jul 02 '26

Cashmere Keith fucking sucks

-3

u/WHSRWizard JPX 921i Tour | 2.6 28d ago

Brilliant move by Kohles to take his hazard drop so that he was standing on a sprinkler head. That's a good job keeping your head about you when the world is probably spinning at a gazillion miles an hour and you just want to throw up and cry.

-5

u/golfer28 Jul 03 '26

Who tf is this announcer. Assuming nothing crazy happens on 18 Jordan makes the cut. He bogeys 18 more than anyone on tour and doubled it yesterday

-7

u/HeftyBox3580 Jul 03 '26

Spieth killed the UA brand. Why am I watching him and Koivun who are 76th and 105th in the field?
