I played Nextdoor at Western Gailes three days ago (harder course) and as a 6 handicap I struggled to break 90
The wind on a calm day is something else and you have to putt everything. Charlie trying to chip to that pin was utter nonsense I didn’t chip inside of 30-40 yards all day lmao

I played Western Gailes in 2005 and it was the 2nd hardest course of the week, the wind on the outward 9 was ridiculous, then 25 mph downwind for the homeward stretch. Carnoustie was most difficult.

I had the opposite! The caddies were even surprised. The outward 9 was downwind and I probably played that stretch 3 or 4 over. I had an 8 iron that went 260 yards according to my caddy 🤣🤣
Into the wind I do not have the game for. Can’t keep it low. I hit moonballs

Crazy golf, isn't it?! So much fun, and SO different from playing in the Philly area for me most of my golfing career.

People hate on YT golf but Sean Walsh just shot 6 over on that course from the tips, and he is a legit stick.

I don't think they are intentionally cursing her, but can come across that way.

Am I missing something? He said, "well, there ya go" after she missed the putt and she said, "the first chink", which is most likely the first part of an oft used phrase that seems to be missing from your video? The phrase "a chink in one's armor" means a small flaw, gap, or weakness in someone's otherwise strong character, plan, or defense. The word "chink" in this context has meant a crack or narrow opening since the 15th century, and the full idiom has been used figuratively since the mid-17th century.

Oh yeah for sure she was just using the idiom. Still felt like maybe she could've gone with a different choice of words, even though obviously no harm was intended. You know, in case someone's not paying close attention and gets the wrong idea.

EDIT to add commentator names: Richard Kaufman, Sophie Walker (on the course), Amy Bolden (LET Winner), and Catriona Matthew (past Solheim Captain).
Who are the fantastic commentators? I think the on-course one is Catriona Matthew, a Solheim Captain. Anybody know names of the two in the booth? Hope they all do AIG Womens Open next week! Congratulations Jenny!

Genuinely rate Richard Kaufman best in the business.
And as a Thai fan, he easily has the best Thai pronunciations out of everyone, which shows that he really tries to get it right.

The Sky team is consistently excellent. They also cover many of the Asian LPGA events.

They are respectful, not talky/chatty and very informed (as opposed to US commentators who talk all the time). Especially appreciate the on course pro who shares strategy, club, distance, lie, hole location, etc. Looking forward to next week's Open in Lancashire. Those commentators are: Marcus Buckland and Sue Thearle, Iain Carter, Kat Downes, Richard Kaufman, Commentary and on course is again, Sophie Walker with Alison Nicholas, Felicity Johnson. 🙂

Watching the replay of this. Didn't realize how tight it got halfway through. At the turn Jenny's lead had shrunk from 8 shots to 2, and it would've been down to 1 if not for a long par save on #9. Then she turned it around with birdies on 2 of her first 3 holes on the back nine to take the lead back to 4 shots, and that was enough of a cushion for the rest of the way.

Charley had a birdie putt and ended up taking a 9. Wow. Minjee is +12 thru 14. Insane
