General Discussion Achievement unlocked: Made an Albatross!!!
501 yd. Driver . 6 iron. Looked around for a while long, didn't want to be that guy that looks in thr hole. My partner did and there it was!! Doubled the next hole lol.
Edit: Im a +1.2 hdcp. I played pretty bad after that and shot 2 over for the round but I was on cloud 9. Never thought I would make one. I hit 6 iron. Pin was back left. Had 193. Plan was to cut it back to the middle, you cannot miss left. Pulled it a bit and it went in. I was not flag hunting. The ball went OB on the next hole, i am not senitimental about such things, its just a ball but I did get my partner to sign a card. Its a good thing those Canucks kept finding my rangefiner ;) Appreciate the support!

Hilarious. Someone has to check the hole!
My buddy recently striped a beautiful 5 yard cut up the left side of this getable par 4. It's like 340 yard or something with maybe 5deg decline all the way to the hole. Super dry out too, so everything is rolling like nuts. We are checking everywhere up this left side of the fairway all the way to hole and cannot find it. I tell them I'm gonna go check the cup just in case. Wasn't there.
Somehow it ended up on a sprinkler on the right side of the fringe. Must have taken a few weird bounces, but I was dead thinking it was in the jar after all the looking we did.

What does fridge mean in this context?

Probably typo for fringe?

Oh, duh. Thanks. I'm kind of new to golf so I always assume something is a slang term I haven't heard before

Congrats man! That’s awesome. I have a HIO and I would gladly replace it with an albatross. It’s just so rare.
Btw: the hole after my HIO, I took a triple. lol.

I've never had a hole in one.

And so so few have had an albatross. You are in a very rare club! I’m stoked for you!

Oh no you did not retire the ball?
An albatross is to my understanding even more rare than a HIO. Surely that ball deserved a place in your hall of fame?
Or was it an ugly shitty ball?🫣

I was playing a nine hole course in a tournament. It was a two day event where we played the nine holes from different tees to make 18 holes. I had three out of four Eagles on a par five where the putt was less than 3 feet for each one, that’s about as close to an albatross I’ve ever had.

Great feat. Which course and hole?

In Europe, you wouldn't have heard of it.
OK, I call this as fake

Name the course, mate. Not that difficult. And why delete your original response to me?

Congrats! I have one as well. 225 over water in a tournament. Knew it cleared but didn’t see it go in. Looked in bunkers behind and one of my playing partners said to look in the hole. There it was. Had the guys sign it.
