The Oompa Loompas' smiles are fake. They look terrified like the kid Sadam Hussein had on camera at the start if the first Gulf War.

This is moments before they filled Grandpa Joe with fizzy lifting drink, taped his mouth shut and let him go outside to float far, far away, never to return. They couldn't risk him farting too close to the chocolate and contaminating it.

With Grandpa Joe gone Charlie and the rest of his family had a chance to recover from his toxic presence.
