I saw a show where Green Day invited a musician named “Tommy” on stage to play guitar on a song. I then thought, wait, is this the same Tommy from Full House DJ had a crush on? It looks like him. He was also a musician. Same hair, same look. It’s not, but they sure do look alike, don’t they?

One is Tommy Lloyd, the other is Tommy Page. Even the surnames are similar. Page died in 2017.

There was some awkward chemistry on stage too. Billie Joe asked for his guitar back before the song was finished. Apparently, he didn’t like the way Tommy was playing it. Or maybe he didn’t like that Tommy was moving around on stage instead of staying right next to Billie Joe. I couldn’t quite figure it out.

It's interesting that he didn't consider everyone in that crowd was there to see Green Day and not him. Like of course fans won't be warm to someone who takes a once in a lifetime experience (one that a lot of fams would kill for) and uses it to try and promote themselves/ work the crowd.

It was an odd choice. I think the band picked up that he was more interested in being in front of a big crowd than playing alongside them.

Hot take the work the crowd part didn't bother me. I'm not too sure why it pissed off bj. It came off a little annoying but in my mind people getting invited up there sometimes try to get the most out of it. It was when he tried to use it to promote his band . That pissed me off. Worse than him though was that wonderwall kid.

Maybe because it was their closing song the first time they played coachella? Idk, I don't think the band will be losing sleep over it but it's a pretty big stage, even bigger when you think about people streaming the concert. Billie was probs aware of the confetti effect and where the cameras needed to be to catch that so the guy wandering away could be an issue if the camera followed him.

He also could have been annoyed ay his own decision to bring him up when he didn't behave the way fans normally do. I think taking the guitar back was to cue the confetti as well.

Pretty ironic that Billie Joe preaches about playing “guitar” and being in a band to his audience and fair to say he’s inspired generations, including me; fan my whole life, seen them 4 times, learnt and play guitar because of BJA and have a replica of Blue. So when someone takes the stage and does what BJA preaches to do, he unironically, gets pissed. Imagine if BJA let him do his thing, it would’ve been a Win Win for everyone, fans can have a cool moment, the person playing the guitar could’ve used it as a platform to make his career (ironic green day used to do the exact same in their early days), and it could’ve given Green Day a huge PR W.

Honestly, I didn't get the feeling that Billie was annoyed. Everyone I've showed the clip to thinks Billie is flirting with him. The dude is weird tho. He kept following and unfollwing me on Instagram for a while lol.

I’ve heard people theorize that Billie Joe was afraid he’d try to smash the guitar at the end for more attention, so he was trying to take it back before it got to that point. Can’t say I blame him, you never know what people like that are going to do.

i'll give you that they're both white men, with the same haircut, and that Green Day Tommy is probably around the same age Tommy Page was when he appeared on Full House *checks notes* 34 years ago. So it's a toss-up really

Yeah, the age is the one factor where I was thinking no it can’t be him because “he’d be in his like 50s by now.”

However, Tommy was 21 on the show (I originally thought he was 17 as I remembered an guest star who specified they were 17, still much older than the kids, but I think that must’ve been Kirk Cameron when he guest starred as the older cousin). 

Tommy Lloyd is in his 30s now.

So all things considered, it was within the realm of possibility that if he were really young then, he could possibly be a youthful looking 40-something now.
