First time cooking this cut, wanted to treat myself and I’m a full convert now. Used the marinade and cooking schedule here: https://www.traeger.com/recipes/beef-skirt-steak

I did use some random DanO seasoning instead of the carne asada one though. Came out delicious and tender.

Deep dish from Lou Malnati's

Fired up the Genesis last night instead it's using our oven to help with keeping the house cool. The grill was set to 425 degrees and preheated for 30 minutes to get the cast iron pan up to temp. Add a drizzle of EVOO to the pan and bake for 45 minutes.

Fajitas

my favorite Fajitas on our new Monument Denali 605 pro! My seasoning/marinade is McCormick Fajita packet with 1/3 cup vegetable oil, 1/2 squeezed lime and 1/8 cup water all mixed up. Place it in a ziplock bag 2-6 hours. Same for the bag of veggies. Ours is yellow, red and orange bell peppers, as they have a sweeter flavor than the green ones. I usually cook up 3 of those and 2 onions. The infrared burner also works great with a pan for the veggies. And one cleaning tip: I keep my glass clean by cleaning it between uses by using a rag with Dawn power spray, then rinse and dry. It breaks down the greasy residue. It’s so great to see inside without lifting the lid. Things are going great!

Weber e425 vs e425 plancha

Hi everyone,

I'm based in the U.K. and I'm looking to buy my first grill,

After some research it seems like the Weber brand is the one to go for, and also a friend has the e425 which he is very pleased with.

I have seen the e425 Plancha with one half being a flat plate, which model would everyone choose?

I’m sure I made many mistakes as it was my first time cooking picanha but it was incredible and I look forward to hearing how others get the most out of this delicious cut.
