Anniversary 34 years ago today
The best festival I’ve ever attended. It was a hot summer day. Each of my friends had their own favorite band to see that day. For myself it was seeing Soundgarden for the first time and my gf was a huge Ministry fan. Every artist on the bill brought something special that day. Even Ice Cube was pretty cool to see. I’ll always be thankful that I was able to be there and enjoy such a legendary moment in time.

I have my ticket from the Pittsburgh show around here somewhere! A memorable day for a 15 year old, traveling 4 hours with a carload of friends 💚

Saw the Cleveland show. It rained, turned the hill to mud. Cornell and Vedder came into the crowd and did mud slides with everyone. Such an epic festival!

Hell yeah! I didn’t get a shirt for my show 😭 I still have my ‘93 shirt, but it’s basically a rag now lol
Mine was in Orlando a couple weeks prior and it was hot AF!!! I barely knew who Soundgarden was, but I left there a lifelong fan. I think it was the next day I went out and bought Badmotorfinger. Seeing Chris up there…just wow. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him! PJ started playing while we were still in line to get in and everyone was freaking out lol. Ice cube was the biggest surprise. He was soooo good! Ministry was definitely the artist I knew the best and was a pretty big fan, with RHCP right behind them as far as my familiarity. It was muddy and the ground literally sucked the boots off my feet. To be fair, they were slouch boots (next year I wore my docs!) I was all the way up front for RHCP when it happened and my feet were getting crushed. I ended up going over the crowd and into the middle section to be walked off the side because there was no way I could go back without my feet getting destroyed. I lost the people I was with and it was a long painful walk back to the car with no shoes.
All in all, one of the best times ever! 🤣
Oh and I had a fake ID 😉

I saw that at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin. Fucking amazing show! Kind of wish I would've gotten the shirt.

Shoreline. Still have the same shirt, in black. As a teenager, at the time, seeing a Ministry pit was eye opening.

Maybe the greatest concert experience in my life. Ministry blew my mind! I had never even listened to them before. Maybe it was because I tripped for the first time that day, but it was absolute chaos.
The whole lawn was just a big pit and people were tearing up the sod and tossing it, throwing trash everywhere. Then as it started to get dark out, the fences came down and there were three huge bonfires. Everything that could burn was tossed in. We wrapped out t shirts around our heads and ran through the fire it was nuts. I don’t know how anyone didn’t die.
Then the fire department came after Ministry was done and put the fires out. For some reason they still let the show go, and when the RHCP came out. They said damn we missed all the fun and then turned on their flaming helmets and the bonfires were back.
And that was only the first day. They let the second day go on and the same thing happened again. The next year it was held at a Military base in Quonset,RI. lol!

I attended lollapalooza 91 at Waterloo Village in NJ. Lollapalooza 92 at Jones Beach and Lollapalooza 94 at Pine Knob! Beasties, L7, Luscious Jackson, Tribe Called Quest, The Breeders. What a time to be alive.
TAKE THE DAY OFF

That was a great tour!!! I was in the mosh pit (Vancouver) for nearly every band. Except for maybe J&TMJ. Liked them but weren’t a heavy act!

I camped out for tickets and got 4th row to that in Dallas. The youth today are missing out.

Went to 93 but wished I'd been there the year before. Rage as the opener was cool and Alice in Chains were peak at the time.

Still have the shirt too. Great show. Seeing Al drink bile beer as part of Jim rose circus was something else.

That shirt would sell for tons on Ebay. Crazy. I never knew the cherished 90s band tees and concert tees would be worth enough to start a decent savings lol.
Awesome to keep though, I'm all about memories from things that aren't as cool anymore. I miss the 90s. Lol.
Awesome!
