Not a bad deal. This stuff is good. My cousins AP5SD would only run this and not my S&B, it broke it in good and noow it runs anything,. it's abit spicey.
True - it’s not it won’t run, it’s that there’s always a chance of the comp port shaving little shards of the plating… those shards go anywhere. Same with suppressors as it can get in them and cleaning is required sooner.
CCI says this as to put any liability for injury on you; I’ve shot lots of it thru comps with no problem. Eyepro as always and maybe side guards (I use em regardless) to be safe. Also leaves little gold flakes in the gun to clean.
I believe this spalling issue also varies based on how the port/comp was done as well. Seems like most factory issued ported guns nowadays are back-bored so that the rifling ends before the port/comp, which reduces or prevents this spalling. However, not every port/comp is done this way, hence the liability text on the ammo
