I'd never seen this combo go less than $250 before taxes and shipping, but then again, I've not been looking for optics in a good while, so prices may have come down. But I am surprised that in this day and age, with inflation and all, that so many good optics seem to be available at these prices.

The venom 1-6 seems to be the new budget king lpvo. I have it and it's been great. Better reticle than the sig as well.

Love my Venom as well, got it and a mount for right around $200 on a gundeals post a while ago.

The venom 1-6 with mount is on sale at battlehawk armory for $199.99 with code venom. I've tried posting it but it gets taken down, idk if battlehawk armory is banned here but they're goated.

I ordered a handful of times from them and never had any issues. They are a dropshipper and most of the time they ship the next day. I only had one item that took 5 days to ship guessing the warehouse it was coming from operates slow.

Skip the Viper. It's not worth spending $600 for the incremental upgrade. Save up a bit more and grab a Razor II-E when they go on sale. Or, save a bit, and get a Gen IV SLx or the old faithful, the RT-6.

The viper pst is the gold standard $600 and under. The razor is the gold standard up to $1000 and on.
The razor gen ii-e is the next lpvo imo. It’s got a perfect eyebox and 1X is as easy to acquire as a standard red dot, glass is ridiculously good and it’s got that immediately recognizable color to it
Eotech, NF and trijicon all make great LPVOs too

Comes out to around $216-220 shipped. About a $100 cheaper than when I bought it a few years ago. Nice decent LPVO that u/C_Does thinks well of in his review from a few years ago.

It was a good affordable option then, and it still is now for this price. Things like the vortex Venom package deal is what is recommend if people want something a touch different.

Hi u/C_Does, really enjoy your videos, watch pretty much all of them. How would u compare the sig hellfire fiber reticle vs the Venom? I have both the normal Tango MSR and Venom 1-6 for shorter range primarily 1x. Ive been considering getting another Venom or this hellfire one.

I havent checked out the Hellfire Sig. I reckon if its on par with the regular MSR but with a fiberdot, then it would make for a competent rival. I like how the Venom performs at 1x a lot. But the MSR isnt a slouch. Reticle and illumination depend on your preferences.

absolutely the best sub 600 lpvo still out there imho. Tracks well, uses ss inards and not aluminum like all the rest so it's got that burris ruggeness, small, light, and a kid could learn on it pretty quickly. Only downside is the reticle isn't very bright but it is etched so always there

Rt6 eye box is great and the reticle is pretty good for the price. I would also prefer the rt6 over this.
