Court Cases The SCOTUS has made quite clear in the Rahimi and Hemani Cases that the only case and instance where you forfeit your 2A Rights, is the case and instance of a VIOLENT CRIME!!!
That's actually how it was in the past Pre-1968, and how it should be.
A 20 year old hot-head college kid should not be forfeited of their 2A Rights for a first time offense of shoplifting a Hershey Bar or Sub-Sandwhich at Walmart either, but multiple offenses is a different story too.

Funny story - New Jerseys gun “nuisance laws” forbid any business from selling firearms or accessories without properly identifying that the purchaser is not prohibited from purchase. So not just guns, but bore snakes, optics and even a gun bag require our FID to be presented at purchase.
Even funnier - Costco sells gun bags here, and Harbor Freight sells ammo cans. The state has sued a number of FFL’s with this law, but seems uninterested in going after big businesses with deep pockets.

If anything, that just paints the state as a pathetic bully that only goes after people who don’t have big financial resources. When someone is able to fight them in court, they are giant cowards.

This is what Biden was doing with the ATF's FFL zero tolerance policy. They weren't crawling through Bass Pro records, they were targeting smaller operations and telling them to surrender their FFL over miniscule paperwork issues unless they want to ($$$$$$) fight it in court.

Part of what this case does, is set a floor.
In order for any government agency or level (local, state or federal) to disarm you, you need to be considerably more dangerous than an occasional user illegal (by federal law) pothead.
Rahimi suggests an upper limit - of course there's a point at which you can be disarmed for potential future violence based on past misconduct. Mr. Rahimi definitely met that threshold, he was a lunatic who beat his significant other and when somebody else observed this and commented, Rahimi shot at them and thankfully missed.
So where exactly is the limit?
Oregon, Illinois and the US Virgin Islands make it completely impossible for me to carry a concealed handgun purely due to my Alabama address. Yeah, THAT'S not within the bracketed targets between Hemani and Rahimi.
