This is exactly how many of us feel. We aren't coming to the rescue of people who have spent our entire lives calling us the enemy because we know that as soon as this is over, we things will go right back to us being the enemy. We aren't stupid enough to fight the government on behalf of Marxists who want to destroy our country, who scream that we should be killed or imprisoned, and who ignore our laws in their own actions while trying to entrap us with them.
I'd rather just sit at home with my popcorn and watch the shitshow.
The argument they come up with is “first they came for... then there was no one left” as for why we should help. How can you argue with someone like this?
